Hines verwies dabei die Herausforderungen, die sich darauf ergeben, dass man parallel für die aktuelle als auch die kommende Konsolengeneration entwickelt. Im Falle der neuen Geräte von Microsoft und Sony sei in Sachen Hardware auch noch nicht alles in Stein gemeißelt. Auch wolle man dem Team mehr Zeit für Feinschliff gewähren, da es sich um einen einen Shooter handelt, der noch allerlei andere Elemente - Fahren, Stealth, Story - in sich vereine.
"We didn't just want to do a one-note Wolfenstein game. We wanted to make something that brought in all these elements, and as it turns out, the polish time you spend on the shooting stuff has no impact on what it feels like in the stealth part.
MachineGames has been working on this game for a while," Hines said. "You don't want to waste all that time and effort for the sake of a couple of months, if a couple of months could make all of the difference in the world."
