Guitar Hero Live soll im Herbst für PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One und Wii U erscheinen. Die Song-Bibliothek ist nicht länger abwärtskompatibel zu den Vorgängern. Zudem wird auch auf allen Plattformen ein komplett neuer Gitarren-Controller zum Spielen benötigt.
