The Game Awards 2015: Gewinner des Jahres 2015 stehen fest; The Witcher 3 wird Spiel des Jahres

Gestern Nacht wurden in Los Angeles zum zweiten Mal "The Game Awards" verliehen. Große Gewinner waren das Spiel des Jahres The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt und dessen Entwickler CD Projekt Red. Laut Geoff Keighley (Producer) handelt es sich um eine "unabhängige Veranstaltung", die nicht in Zusammenhang mit Viacom oder Spike TV stehe - wohl als Abgrenzung zu den alten "Video Game Awards". Die Veranstaltung wurde via go90, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Wii U, Steam, Twitch, YouTube, IGN, Polygon, GameSpot, Kotaku, Niconico und MLG übertragen . Nominiert wurden die Titel von einer Jury aus 32 internationalen Medienvertretern. Die eSports-Nominierungen wurden von eSport-Webseiten zusammengestellt. Alle Spiele, die bis zum 24. November 2015 veröffentlicht wurden, durften nominiert werden. Die Gewinner erhalten eine Statue von Studio WETA, welches auch bei Herr der Ringe für Requisiten und Effekte sorgte.
